The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency mentioned it truly is alarmed regarding the higher range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office devoted to service the sassa status check area daily. The provider place designed for intervention encounters a superior inflow of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it complicated with the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to enable the servicing of all customers and raise entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
